Prison Architect leaving Steam Early Access on October 6

Prison Architect will leave Steam Early Access and officially release on October 6, developer Introversion Software has announced on Twitter.

The game made its way onto Steam’s Early Access back in September 2012 and will now become a completed game after just over 3 years of being in the program. The finished game will still be supported following the launch and will include several new secret features which are yet to be revealed but are promised to be announced later in the week.

Prison Architect has been one of the success stories of Early Access and has gone against the grain in so far seeing the process out right until the very end. Well done Introversion Software, Well done. Hopefully more games will follow and leave Early Access sooner rather than later.
