It looks like Ubisoft could be set to release the next Assassin’s Creed game on the Nintendo Switch as well as on PS4 and Xbox One, if the latest rumour doing the rounds is to be believed.
Ubisoft are yet to officially reveal their plans for the Switch, but YouTuber OBE1plays released a video where he talked about how well the Switch would be suited for open-world games before commenting that it would be great to see Ubisoft release the latest Assassin’s Creed game on the platform.
However, Laura Kate Dale, a journalist who has been behind several previous leaks regarding the Switch, responded to the video and tweeted that Ubisoft were planning on bringing the next Assassin’s Creed game to the Switch. Not only that, but she added that they are aiming to release the game on PS4, Xbox One and Switch at the same time.
@paidenthusiast @OBE1plays as far as I know Ubi want the next AC to hit Switch same date as other consoles yep.

It’s no secret that Ubisoft are fans of Nintendo and the Switch, having previously praised the company and teased that they have plans to release games on the platform. For the Switch to be a real success, Nintendo will need Ubisoft and other publishers to get behind the console and release the latest games on Nintendo’s platform. The good news for Nintendo though is that one of gaming’s biggest studios has shown significant interest in the Switch.
The next Assassin’s Creed game has been rumoured to be called Assassin’s Creed: Empire and set is in Egypt. Earlier this year an anonymous Ubisoft employee was said to have made a post on 4Chan revealing Assassin’s Creed: Empire.
