It’s been no secret that sales of Titanfall 2
If you’ve yet to pick up Titanfall 2 on PC, we highly recommend that you do so, and now is as good a time as any to do just that.
Right now Titanfall 2 is being offered with a 33% discount on Origin for both the standard and deluxe editions of the game. To bump this to up 50% off, all you have to do is use the discount code TITAN20. That will bring the price of both editions of Titanfall 2 down to half of their original launch price.
In the UK the standard edition of Titanfall 2 on Origin is being sold for £49.99; however, with EA’s current 33% discount the price is knocked down to £33.32. Once you add the code TITAN20, the price that you’ll actually pay drops down to £26.65.
Titanfall 2 is also being discounted at other retailers as well as on the Xbox Store. On Xbox One you can grab Titanfall 2 for £32.99, a 40% discount on its original £54.99 price tag. Meanwhile, over on Amazon
While it may seem like a great move for those who were reluctant to pick up Titanfall 2 as a result of the game launching between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the heavy discounts are likely to anger gamers who picked up the title on day one. The discounts are great if you’re a consumer and are interested in picking up Titanfall 2 at some point; however, it does send a few alarm bells ringing when a game is heavily discounted just weeks after being released.
When Battleborn launched back in May, sales were hugely disappointing, thanks in part to the game launching around the same time as Overwatch. That led to 2K slashing the price of the game almost instantly to try and draw players in. Unfortunately, it angered many of the game’s fans who had already purchased the game and did little to actually improve Battleborn‘s fortunes.
It’s unfortunate that Titanfall 2 launched when it did, as the reception has been great to the game. It just looks like extremely bad timing from EA, however.
