Paladins Surpasses 4 Million Players on PC

Paladins: Champions of the Realm continues to grow in popularity as developer Hi-Rez Studios has announced that the game has just surpassed 4 million players worldwide on Steam.

As a result, Paladins has been one of the most played games on Steam in recent weeks and is currently the 8th most popular game based on concurrent users, surpassing more than 40,000 concurrent gamers at any one time.

The free-to-play multiplayer team-based shooter released on Steam in open beta on September 16th and is due to enter closed beta on Xbox One and PS4 soon. Since its release it has proved to be a huge hit with gamers and continues to grow in popularity.

“The worldwide response to Paladins has been incredible,” said Todd Harris, Chief Operating Officer of HI-Rez Studios. “It has been thrilling to see the game grow week-over-week since the Steam open beta began in mid-September, as well as to hear all of the player feedback, which we are constantly using to improve the game.”

Hi-Rez Studios also announced that Paladins will be heading to the Chinese market soon thanks to a partnership with Tencent.
