Check Out How Red Dead Redemption 2’s Graphics Compare to Original in This Comparison Video

When Red Dead Redemption launched back in 2010, the game was praised for its outstanding gameplay, story, and of course, graphics. There’s no doubt that even six years on, the game still holds up well visually; however, there’s no denying that Red Dead Redemption 2 will take the series to a whole new level visually.

There are several comparison videos on YouTube, but we feel that this one is by far the best and does a great job of comparing scenes from both games which help give a better view of just how better the graphics are in Red Dead Redemption 2. When you see the two games side by side, it’s rather impressive to see how well Red Dead Redemption still holds up in 2016.

Great comparison! While RDR 2 graphics are absolutely beautiful, the first Redemption still looks very impressive. The textures may be a little outdated, but the light, sky, and weather effects haven’t aged at all in my opinion. Compared to GTA IV, which came out in 2008, Red Dead Redemption was a massive step forward. I can’t wait to see what Rockstar has in store for us this time!

The footage of a Red Dead Redemption scene was recorded from the PS3 version of the game. Cycu1 tried to record scenes that were similar from the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer and the original game as best as he could, which is no mean feat.
