All Titanfall 2 Maps and DLC Will Be Free for Everyone, No Season Pass Either

Respawn Entertainment have revealed that all future multiplayer maps, modes, and DLC for Titanfall 2 will be free for everyone, regardless of what edition of the game they have purchased or what platform they are playing on. Not only that, but there will also be no season pass, which makes sense as there will be no paid DLC.

That means that once you purchase a copy of Titanfall 2, you’ll get access to the full single-player campaign and multiplayer with every new map and mode added to the game in the future being available for everyone.

One of the reasons why the developer is not going down the season pass or paid DLC route is because they don’t want to split the community up and instead would rather have everyone playing together across all maps and modes. That sounds to us like an ethos that more companies should get behind, that’s for sure.

Writing on its website, Respawn Entertainment stated, “No Season Pass required: all maps & modes will be free in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer. This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall.”

“This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single-player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.”

The move from Respawn Entertainment will certainly win over many gamers and is a move in the right direction when it comes to DLC, which is a topic that divides opinion. Hopefully other publishers and developers will follow suit in the future.

Titanfall 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
