Rockstar has re-released their first Red Dead game for the PlayStation 4, allowing gamers to jump back in-time to the Wild West to see where the franchise began all those years ago.
Red Dead Revolver is available to download from the PlayStation Store right now and will cost £11.99.
Red Dead Revolver on PlayStation 4 will include full 1080p up-rendering as well as adding trophies to the game. As usual, you can use Red Dead Revolver with Shareplay and Remote Play.
While it’s not a PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption, which has long been requested by gamers to appear on the PS4, it does provide a glimmer of hope that Sony and Rockstar may bring Red Dead Redemption to the console sooner rather than later. After all, if they can bring the 12-year-old Red Dead Revolver back from the dead, then surely there’s hope for Red Dead Redemption.
For those who have never played Red Dead Revolver, don’t go in expecting an open-world masterclass like Red Dead Redemption. While it was still a good game, it’s very different with the Wild West setting being the only thing the two games really have in common.
Xbox One gamers have been able to play Red Dead Redemption since July after Microsoft made it available via backwards compatibility.
