Last week, a pricing glitch on the Xbox Store allowed users to download a copy of Fallout 4 for free, including all of the game’s DLC such as the Far Harbor expansion along with the Season Pass for the price of…nothing. As you’d expect, plenty of people were quick to spot the error and subsequently downloaded the game and all of its content for free before the glitch got fixed by Microsoft.
Shortly after being made available for free, however, Fallout 4‘s price was quickly corrected and Microsoft went about removing Fallout 4 from gamers’ libraries who downloaded the game. However, in a gesture of good will, Microsoft are offering to deposit $10 into everyone’s Microsoft accounts for those who were able to successfully download Fallout 4 for free.
Microsoft have said that the deposit will be made to your account by the end of June, and that you will have one year from the time it was deposited to spend it before it will expire. Not bad for taking your chances of grabbing a free game, right?
“Our pricing error on Fallout 4 has been fixed and your free download will no longer work. For the inconvenience we will deposit $10 by the end of June in your Microsoft Account”, said Microsoft. “This expires one year from the time it was deposited.”

So Microsoft can take a game back if you download it? I didn’t know that.
In cases such as this due to a pricing glitch, then yes they can. I’m sure it says somewhere in their T&Cs that they can revoke any games anyway as a technicality
O ok that makes sense.
That is interesting that they can track who downloaded the game and delete the game from your hard drive. I wonder if anyone took their box offline and can still play the game
