Footage of Scrapped The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion for PSP Has Appeared Online

You may or may not be aware of this, but roughly a decade ago Sony and Bethesda were working on bringing an Elder Scrolls game to the PSP following the huge success of Oblivion on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Unfortunately for PSP owners of the time, the game got scrapped before it got to see the light of the day.

The game had been named “The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion” and was due to release in 2007, however, due to the PSP’s decline in popularity at the time, the game got canned, which is a shame because it would have probably sold a lot of copies in addition to shifting a few extra PSPs for Sony, at least.

However, it appears that the game was quite far along in its development judging by some gameplay footage of “The Elder Scrolls Oblivion: Travels” which has been leaked online. Reddit user Morderax posted that he had discovered some discs for the scrapped Elder Scrolls game and tested them to see if they worked, which they did. Subsequently, footage has appeared showing us what the game would have looked and played like, and it’s not half bad!

The videos were originally uploaded to YouTube, but you can view them below from Vid.me.
