The internet is rife with rumours right now about Battlefield 5 and where it will be set, what it will include etc and according to the latest one, Battlefield 5 will be set in the near future and will have a female protagonist.
YouTuber IceManAuz released a video showing an email he received from a person who has revealed several other leaks to him. It looks like the email was received by IceManAuz’s leaker who then forwarded it onto him.
Of course, there is no way to verify how accurate these claims are as EA and DICE have yet to officially announce any details surrounding Battlefield 5 so it’s important to take these rumours with a pinch of salt. However if they do prove to be true, it would mean that the other rumour we reported earlier in the week surrounding Battlefield 5’s DLC plan was a hoax.
This “leak” states that the game will take place predominately in North America, mainly the USA, in the near future which means that it will likely be set in the early 2020s at the latest. The singleplayer campaign will focus on a military coup which is happening in the USA with the main protagonist of the story being a women.
It is also claimed that one of the games biggest selling points will be its dynamic weather system which will include tornadoes, blizzards, thunderstorms and even floods. This weather system will provide a changing environment therefore keeping players on their toes. In addition to that, it is also claimed that multiplayer maps will have different times of day available meaning that battles can change completely depending on when they take place during the day.
More details were revealed relating to the multiplayer with there being 5 different classes for players to choose from. Not only that, but for the first time ever players will be able to choose if they want to go into combat as a man or women.
Battlefield 5 will be revealed at EA Play in June and surprisingly, a beta will be made available once the game has been revealed although no further details were mentioned. As there are several different rumours currently circulating, it means that at most only one can be correct however they all seem to agree that the game will be revealed before E3 at EA Play.
A link was included in the email for three images said to be from Battlefield 5. They don’t reveal too much and it is hard to say whether or not they are genuine as the images only show three environmental settings. We’ll leave that up to you decide but you can find them below.
