Funcom Reveals More Details on Conan: Exiles

Funcom have released new details on there next step in the Conan the Barbarian universe, Conan: Exiles.

Set in the Conan the Barbarian universe, this first-person survival game is based very much on the same engine of Rust, another survival game set in a harsh outdoor environment.

Players will use all their knowledge to craft, destroy and summon massive godly avatars that can destroy anything in their path.

In a recent trailer for the game, players can be seen crafting weapons, armour and building bases, and while there hasn’t been much detail revealed on the crafting system, it does appear intricate. There is mining and chopping trees for wood, the stable for any budding survival game.

With massive walls and other buildings such as blacksmiths for crafting, players’ towns can be manned by NPCs called Thralls for their protection when you are out exploring. These Thralls are captured NPCs that you bring back and convert with torturous ways on the Wheel of Pain.

For the adventurers out there, Funcom have included ruins. These ruins house many dark creatures but also contain powerful artifacts that can be used against your foes.

Conan: Exiles can be played on your own or on multiplayer servers. The game itself looks really beautiful with massive vistas and oases littering Hyboria. Let’s not forget Funcom created the world of Hyboria once before in their MMO, Age of Conan. This time around it looks even more beautiful.

Early access for Conan: Exiles starts in January for PC and Spring 2017 for consoles.
