State of Decay 2 Announced for Xbox One and PC, Releasing in 2017

State of Decay 2 has been announced and will be arriving on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC in 2017, Microsoft has revealed at their E3 2016 conference.

Just like State of Decay, the second game in the franchise is also being developed by Undead Labs and will take place in the fictional US town of Trumball Valley.

Among one of the many features that State of Decay 2 will add include drop-in co-operative multiplayer to the game, a much requested yet absent feature of State of Decay. You will be able play online with up to three other players.

Judging by the announcement trailer, it looks like State of Decay 2 has undergone a major graphics overhaul to bring it in-line with the current-generation. Gameplay has also been refined with the tagline of the game being “No one survives alone”, suggesting there will be stronger emphasis on community and playing with other human and AI survivors.
