Madden NFL 17 Announced, Releasing August 23

Madden NFL 17 has been announced by EA and will be released on August 23 for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PS3.

Although EA are yet to reveal any details regarding Madden NFL 17, such as what improvements, tweaks, and new features will be available in this year’s edition, you can expect more details about the game on May 12 when EA will release the game’s first gameplay trailer, as well as revealing who will be this year’s cover star. The game will be showcased on ESPN SportsCenter this Thursday at 6pm Eastern / 3pm Pacific.

However, it seems that fans of the franchise are unhappy with EA dedicating resources to bringing Madden NFL 17 to last-gen consoles, instead wanting EA to fully commit to the current-gen to push the Madden series further than ever. Unfortunately, it seems that EA are still committed to supporting Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, which isn’t a surprise considering they still represent a large share of the gaming market.

Gamers who own an Xbox One will be able to play the game ahead of its August 23 release date though through EA Access, which is available exclusively on Xbox One.
